Don’t let the stress of billing and insurance stand in between you and a pain-free life. If your questions go beyond what we’ve detailed below, call us directly at 612-767-9917 or email us at contactus@protherapymn.com.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are your providers’ credentials?
Our therapists are fully licensed physical therapists. If you have further questions about specific staff, please visit our team page for full bios.
Do you take my insurance?
We are in-network and accept most major insurance companies. We also work with motor vehicle accidents and workers’ compensation.
We bill as a courtesy and verify insurance coverage, but it is ultimately the patients’ responsibility to be aware of specific co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles at time of treatment.
What if I don’t have insurance?
You do not need insurance to be treated at PRO Therapy. Having both insurance and competitive self-pay options allows us to meet your individual needs.
Can I use my FSA or HSA account?
Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts are a great option for those looking to use pre-tax dollars to pay for physical therapy.
Do I need a doctor’s order or referral?
Your specific insurance requirements will depend on your individual insurance plan. It is important to check with your insurance company if you are unsure.
PRO Therapy does not require a referral or prescription since Minnesota is a direct access state. If you plan to pay out of pocket, you do not need a doctor’s referral.
When will I receive my first statement?
Billing statements will be sent out the 4th Monday of the month. Statements will be sent via mail and email.
How do I make payments?
Co-pays will be collected at the time of the appointment. Any outstanding balance can be paid when you receive your monthly statement. You may also inquire and or make a payment at any visit.
