Went in for help with my knee as it usually gets tight when I run. We went through a few sessions and honed in on what the problem potentially is. Dr. Kelvyn pointed a few things out that I wouldn't have figured out myself. Since the problem is probably form and/or muscle related it won't be an overnight fix. I get a set of exercises to do each visit that address my areas of weakness. It was good working with Dr. Kelvyn and definitely recommend checking out PRO Therapy

Excellent Care! Personally Customized Therapy. The best choice I made!.. I received a more personalized program for my second shoulder surgery recovery with PRO Therapy. I had a very persistent issue with hip flexor tendonitis. Due to an upcoming dive trip, Trent fit me in for a session on fairly short notice. I had a steroid injection prior to therapy that probably took away half the pain but Trent worked with me to get me on the road to less pain and more range and activity. I'm not quite pain free but much, much better. I was able to do 2 dive trips (going up boat ladders with 40 lbs of equipment on) and I'm working my way back to summer activities. I appreciate Trent's expertise and encouragement to recover from a complicated and persistent injury.

Ending off the year of 2023, I had the worst sciatica flare up of my left leg to date. It affected my day to day activities, causing consistent 6-8/10 pain. I often times couldn't walk for more than 5-10 minutes without needing to take a pause to let the flare up settle down. I started PRO Therapy with Dr. Kelvyn early January 2024 and over the course of 2-3 months I am back to normal! Physical Therapy is a slow, but rewarding process if you've got the discipline to stick with it. I refused to look into surgical or steroidal options and knew that if I committed to the stretching/strengthening exercising routines provided by Dr. Kelvyn, my symptoms and pain would resolve. I'd recommend PRO Therapy without a doubt to anyone seeking rehabilitation of any musculoskeletal or nerve problems. Their doctors are well-trained and their accounting/scheduling staff are very quick to respond and excellent.

I started seeing Trent with wrist issues and over the course of 2 months he helped me get back to 100% and even stronger! From the initial assessment he took the time to first pinpoint the primary issue and what was causing the wrist issues to provide the right treatment and subsequent exercises to help strengthen my wrist and get range of motion back. In between appointments he was great about following up to see how things were going and providing alternative options for workouts that involved movements that could impact my wrist. The answer was never "don't move", but seeing what we could do while still getting a similar enough workout that didn't cause any setbacks. Would definitely recommend Trent and ProTherapy and in fact am going back for a different issue

I can't thank him enough for relieving me from my excruciating nerve pain from post knee replacement surgery. His skill and knowledge in working with Dry Needling, and working on my back and leg to relieve pinched nerves really saved me from enduring long-term pain and allow me to be able to walk with a normal gait. I had a full tear of my LCL and biceps femoris tendon along with significant damage to my peroneal nerve. I had Posterolateral reconstruction surgery in late August and began seeing Dr. Nicole at ProTherapy 5 days after my surgery. I worked with Dr. Nicole for a few months until she moved on to another job. I then worked with Dr. Lily and Dr. Kevin for my PT needs. Everyone I came in contact with at protherapy was absolutely fantastic to interact with. They did a lot of hands on work to get my foot and ankle back in order due to the nerve injury and associated foot drop. They also set me up with a great home exercise program to help regain the strength in my quads, glutes, hips, pretty much all of the muscles in my leg that had weakened significantly due to surgery and my being non weight bearing for months. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I searched long and hard to find a PT to work with due to the rarity of my injury and I know for a fact I would not be where I am in my recovery without their help.

I have dealt with persistent nerve pain in my arm over the past several years, which affected work, sleep, and play; quite frankly I assumed it would be something I would always experience. I work in the rock climbing industry, and climb for 8+ hrs/day for four days a week, and the pain in my arm started to become somewhat unbearable.From the moment I contacted Pro Therapy, I have felt taken care of. I have worked with several of the therapists at Pro Therapy and have been very pleased with all of them and the treatments they prescribed. I had PT for my shoulder, pre and post hip replacement surgery, and most recently I have been working with Dr. Spahr for back pain. He has combined exercise with other treatments such as dry needling and types of massage. My pain lessened and became manageable very quickly. With continued treatments almost all my back pain was gone and I was able to return to physical chores such as gardening.My goal after hip surgery was to be able to walk 8 miles on uneven surfaces. Pro therapy helped me to achieve that. Besides being very successful therapists, they are very friendly, good listeners, and are easy to work with. I am very happy with all the treatments I have received there, will definitely go back to them if need be, and without a doubt recommend them to anyone in need of physical therapy.

Kevin helped me alleviate muscular compensation patterns I had developed from an old injury. For years I had endured pain as a byproduct from those compensations and had visited numerous physical therapists/chiropractors to no avail. Kevin was the first PT that I felt was actually listening to what I thought was going on with my body and together we built a working theory on identifying the issues and fixing them. He suggested I pair my physical therapy with chiropractic through north suburban healthcare (same building) and two months later I feel like I can see the light again. My physical therapy exercises are not exacerbating my symptoms like they used to from other PTs, and I finally feel like I am rebuilding a solid foundation to eventually enjoy the active lifestyle I have been missing out on for years. In short, if you feel like you are at the end of your rope, give Pro therapy a shot. I’m glad I did.

I could go on and on about the wonderful experiences I have had with PRO Therapy. First Dr. Spahr did more for me in my first visit than 3 other physical therapists combined did over the course of 4 years. I was amazed! He goes above and beyond to help his patients, including moving his schedule around to fit you in when you need extra care. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I have had less pain overall going to PRO Therapy. I used to take ibuprofen almost everyday. Now I take it maybe a couple times a month. I’m truly grateful to have found Dr. Spahr and his practice. I came in with severe back pain. As a young adult, I figured my pain was beyond repair by a physical therapist. However, that was before I had the privilege of working with Dr. Trent and Dr. Ben. My pain was diagnosed within minutes of the first visit(I figured they just wanted to get me in for another visit) so I kindly played along. But after visit 2, things started to change. I was already becoming mobile again. I went from not being able to lift my arm above my head to almost doing it after visit 3. These guys know their stuff and put me in a position to continue my labor job over 50+ hours a week with no pain. They’re the nicest men, and enjoyable to work with. I even once missed an appointment and they responded in a way that put no guilt on me. Couldn’t recommend Pro Therapy enough. Wish I could go back even though I’mHealthy now!

Last year, I had surgery for one of the worst frozen shoulders my orthopedist had ever seen. I completed about 8 months of PT in February with a different PT. This summer, my shoulder started to regress and I became very concerned about it! I was referred to Dr. Schact and am so grateful!Over the years, I have seen multiple PTs for knee and shoulder related injuries. I worked with Dr Ben Schacht after a partial knee replacement surgery. I would give Dr Ben extra points if I could and here is why:He is an excellent physical therapist. Ben Listens to my needs. He plans his therapies with a person centered goal. Ben explains every detail of his sessions and he is very knowledgeable of what he does. I tend to ask too many questions and Ben has been patient, humble, positive, caring and helped me set realistic goals. His supportive and compassionate nature helped me through the healing process. I had knee replacement surgery and I heard about Protherapy from a high school friend on Facebook who works with Dr Spahr and recommended him for PT. I had some therapy appointments already set up after leaving the hospital with the local clinic but decided to give Dr Spahr a call. At the appointment, we talked about my surgery, my history with previous knee surgeries and therapies, what my Orthopedist said and my expectations. I cancelled the other clinic appts and continued with Dr Spahr. He listened to my questions and concerns and explained each exercise and treatment as to what it was doing for me. I had some complications from the knee surgery and Dr Spahr made adjustments to my therapy specific to my needs. His 2 locations made it very easy to fit therapy appointments into my schedule and I was able to complete my all my recommended sessions I highly recommend Dr Spahr, my new knee is fully functional and there is no painAmanda K

I was experiencing chronic pain that had compromised my lifestyle. I made an appointment with Dr. Spahr and after an initial consultation and some simple exercises Dr. Spahr pinpointed the problem. Some simple therapy was performed which included Graston and taping along with a program to do some home stretching and the results have been very good. Dr. Spahr is very professional, extremely well educated and with the current services provided at The Clinic and Gym completes the vision that Dr. Harrison envisioned years ago.
